Woman's defective sidewalk claim is dismissed. Court finds inadequacies in notice.

Ann Perring allegedly suffered serious injuries as a result of a defective sidewalk in Sterling Heights.  Eight days after her injury, she provided written notice to the City, including the exact location, complete with photographs of the tree-root lifted sidewalk sections.  She did not tell the City, in that notice, what her "serious injury" was, however.  The Court held that her notice was inadequate because it did not identify the nature of her injury.  It also held that she had not provided sufficient proof that the root-lifted sidewalk sections had existed for more than 30 days at the time of her injury.
