Mobile home sale is governed by longer statute of limitations, not UCC's one year
In a case of first impression, the Court of Appeals held that the specific three-year statute of limitations in the Mobile Home Commission Act applies to claims of product defects, rather thant he Uniform Commercial Code's one-year limitation on the sale of "goods." On that basis, Robert and Amanda Johnson were allowed to pursue their claim for rescission and damages against QFD, Inc., d/b/a Landstar Homes.
