Man's premises claim against apartment complex is summarily dismissed
Charles Narlin sued H & H Property Management Company, arguing that he was hurt during a fire because the apartment complex's fire protection equipment did not meed Code requirements. At summary disposition, however, he could provide no evidence of violation beyond his description of the volume of smoke he encountered in the hallway. The Court held that his testimony was not adequate to create a jury question with regard to the apartment owner's negligence in contributing to his injuries.
