Local tri-county bar awards Thompson community service award

At its fall meeting, the regional bar association awarded our partner, George Thompson, the Madeleine Thomas Award for "exemplary service to the cultural, economic and social betterment'of the region."  It cited, in particular, his service as Chairman of the Board of the Regional Goodwill Industries Board, his service as Chairman of the Grand Traverse-Leelanau Community Mental Health Board, his efforts in creating the Munson Manor Hospitality House, his contributions to Safe Harbor and his long-standing efforts on behalf of the Third Level Legal Aid Clinic.

Thompson was previously recognized by the local bar for his pro bono commitment, and the firm was previously honored as a finalist for the national Primerus Community Service Award.
