Injured woman's claim is summarily dismissed
In Debbie Houthoofd v. Scott C. Chapman, et al., the Court of Appeals upheld the trial judge's grant of summary judgment to the Defendants and their insurer. The Court ruled that the woman had not provided adequate evidence that the tremors in Houthoofd's right hand were caused by the motor vehicle collision. The Defendants' insurer had sent the woman to two doctors for "independent medical examinations" and both doctors argued that her complaints were pyschogenic.
