Fisher-Price recalls 10 million products due to safety concerns

Today Fisher-Price announced the recall of more than 10 million high chairs, tricycles and other toys due to various safety hazards.  The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission has information on the Trikes and Tough Trikes, Healthy Care, Easy Clean and Close to Me high chairs and reports ten incidents of injury resulting from the plastic keys that come with the tricycles.  Six of the injuries required medical attention.  The CPSC has received reports of 14 high chair-related, preventable injuries.  In addition, the recall involved 2.8 million Baby Playzone toys, Baby Gymnastics toys, Ocean Wonders Aquarium toys, 1-2-3 Tetherball toys and Bat & Score Goal toys.   A primary issue with the latter toys involved more than 50 reports of choking hazards resulting from the detachment of an inflation valve.  Further information is avialable at www.service.mattel.com.
