Wal-Mart pays $54.25 million to settle another employee-abuse claim
On June 4, a Minnesota Judge settled one of the dozens of suits pending against Wal-Mart on behalf of certified classes of employees. This case involved allegations that WalMart illegally cut break times and forced employees to work "off the clock." It involves about 100,000 people in Minnesota who worked for Wal-Mart between 1998 and 2008. They will share the $54 million dollar settlement after seven years of litigation.
