Aptly-named (?) sporting goods chain sued by employees
Dick's Sporting Goods was sued by a group of employees this week. The employees allege a pattern of forcing employees to work overtime without paying overtime pay, and of wrongfully docking paychecks. According to the suit, filed in Chicago, the company pressures middle managers to pay workers at regular pay rates for overtime hours incurred the previous week and also squeezes them to secure from employees off-the-clock hours after stores close.
